About the Marley WHB3404FC
The Marley WHB3404FC is a fan-forced electric wall heater from Marley's WHB3000 series for 240- or 208-volt single-phase circuits. It delivers 4000 watts at 240 volts or 3000 watts at 208 volts. It comes wired for full output, and removing a red jumper converts it in the field to half wattage. A rotary thermostat sets the temperature, and a fan-only setting sits about 30 degrees past OFF.
A disconnect switch is mounted in the back box. A manual-reset thermal overheat protector with a red RESET button sits behind the grille. The fan keeps running after shutoff to cool the elements. The heater conforms to UL 2021 and CSA C22.2 No. 46.
The heater is wall-mount only. It can be recessed in new or existing walls, or surface-mounted with a frame.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker before installing or servicing the heater. According to the manual, keep at least 8 inches from the floor and adjacent walls, 36 inches from the ceiling, and 3 feet from combustibles at the front. Do not mount it in a ceiling, and do not run it without the grille installed.
