About the Marley 3900-2010-000

The 3900-2010-000 is a 208/240-volt, 5-watt fan motor for Marley electric wall heaters. It drives the fan blade that pulls room air across the heating element and blows the warm air back out through the grille.

This motor is listed for Marley electric wall heaters, along with Dayton-branded heaters built by Marley. It is sold as the motor alone. A version with a hardware kit carries the number 3900-2002-506.

Signs of a failing motor include humming without spinning, slow or noisy running, or a heater that trips its limit because the fan isn't moving air. Check your model number against the compatible-models list on this page before ordering.

Installation Tips

Turn off power at the breaker and let the heater cool. Remove the fan blade from the old motor shaft, label the motor leads, and unbolt the motor. Mount the new motor, connect its leads the same way, refit the blade at its original position, and check that it spins freely before restoring power.
