About the Marley 4520-2030-000

The 4520-2030-000 is a one-time thermal cutoff fuse from Marley Engineered Products. It sits in line with the heater's heating circuit and opens permanently if the temperature reaches 144°C (about 291°F), cutting power to protect the heater from overheating. Unlike an automatic-reset limit, it does not reset after it cools and must be replaced once it trips.

A heater that suddenly goes completely dead may have an open thermal fuse. Find out why it overheated, for example a blocked airflow path or a failed fan, before putting the heater back in service.

Confirm your model number against the compatible-models list on this page before ordering.

Installation Tips

Turn off power at the breaker and let the heater cool. Test the old fuse for continuity to confirm it is open, then install the new one in the same location and connect it the same way. Never bypass the fuse, even temporarily, and correct whatever caused the overheating before restoring power.
