About the Marley WHB1151FC
The Marley WHB1151FC is a fan-forced electric wall heater from Marley's WHB1000 series. It runs on 120 volts and is rated 1500 watts (5,120 BTU/hr). Removing a red jumper wire drops it to 750 watts. A built-in rotary thermostat cycles the heating element. The fan starts and stops on its own and keeps running after the element shuts off to clear leftover heat.
The heater has an over-temperature control with a manual reset button behind the grille and a red alarm light, plus a backup one-shot thermal fuse. It recesses into a 2x4 stud wall using the supplied back box. Optional kits are available for surface or semi-recessed mounting. Do not use a remote thermostat with this heater.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the main service panel before installing or servicing. According to the manual, keep at least 4 inches from the bottom to the floor, 4-1/2 inches from the sides to adjacent walls, and 12 inches from the top to the ceiling (36 inches recommended). Keep combustibles at least 3 feet from the front. Do not run the heater without the grille installed.
