About the Marley WH4408FC
The Marley WH4408FC is a fan-forced electric wall heater from the WH Architectural Heavy-Duty series, made for comfort heating indoors. It runs on 208-volt single-phase power and is rated 4000 watts. It ships wired for full output and can be converted in the field to 2000 watts.
The heating element is switched on and off by a built-in thermostat, and a fan-delay control keeps the fan going for a short time after the element shuts off to clear leftover heat. Warm air leaves through openings along the bottom of the grille. The assembly also includes a manual-reset overheat limit, with a red reset button you can see through the grille, and a power on/off disconnect switch.
The heater recesses into a wall-mounted back box and is meant for indoor wall installation only, blowing air downward. It should not go in ceilings or floors, or in damp or wet locations. It conforms to ANSI/UL 2021 and CSA C22.2 No. 46.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker before working on the heater, and have a qualified electrician make the connections. In new construction, the back box mounts between two wall studs on 16-inch centers; in an existing wall, cut an opening 14-1/2 in. wide by 18-1/2 in. high. Keep the heater at least 8 in. above the floor and 8 in. from adjacent side walls; at least 36 in. to the ceiling is recommended. Do not connect a remote thermostat, and do not wire the unit in a way that bypasses the fan-delay off feature.
To switch to half wattage, reposition the red jumper that links the upper and lower element terminals, then write the new wattage on the label in the back box.

She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare.
I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business.
