About the Marley MCARWH4807AL
The Marley MCARWH4807AL is a heavy-duty architectural wall heater for comfort heating, wired for 277 V single-phase power and rated at 4800 watts. The manufacturer's ratings table also lists a 2400-watt, 8.7 A figure alongside the 4800-watt, 17.3 A rating. The finish is aluminum.
The heater has built-in overheat protection. If it runs too hot, it stops heating, the fan shuts off and a red alarm light comes on; a manual-reset limit then has to be reset before the heater runs again, and it should not be used while the light is lit.
Keep furniture, curtains and other combustibles at least 3 feet from the front of the heater, and don't block the air intake or exhaust. It is meant for indoor use only and is not suited to damp, wet or corrosive locations.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the main disconnect before wiring. The manufacturer calls for at least 12 AWG supply wire for this model and a 3-foot clearance from combustibles in front of the heater.
