The WORKSHOP WS25025A Muffler/Diffuser fits onto the blowing (exhaust) port of a wet/dry vac. It softens the exhaust so the vac runs quieter, and it disperses the air so it does not blast out in one concentrated stream.

WORKSHOP says it fits any vac that has a 2-1/2-inch blowing port. It is part of the 2-1/2-inch accessory line used on the larger WORKSHOP vacs.

I ordered three (3) as they were inexpensive and . . . my neighbor has the same model! She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare. I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business.
