The 5823-0004-002 is a power terminal block from Marley Engineered Products. It is the connection point where the supply wiring enters the heater and is passed on to the internal circuits.

Replace the block if it is cracked, scorched or melted, or if its terminals no longer clamp a wire tightly. Overheated connections should be fixed right away.
