About the Marley 4520-2041-000
Part 4520-2041-000 is a one-shot thermal cutoff, also called a one-shot fuse or protector, used in select Marley, Qmark and Berko heaters. It is marked with a blue identification dot.
As a one-shot device, it is a single-use part and is replaced rather than reset once it has opened. It is used alongside the heater's separate high limit, part 4520-5015-001. Check that your heater is in the compatible-models list on this page.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker and let the heater cool before servicing.

She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare.
I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business.
