About the Marley 302012801

The 302012801 is a factory replacement heating element rated 2000 watts at 208 volts. It is used in a group of Marley, Qmark and Berko commercial downflow ceiling heaters, where it supplies the heat that the unit's fan sends down into the space.

Marley's literature for its commercial downflow ceiling heaters describes their elements as non-glowing: 80/20 nickel-chrome resistance wire sealed in a steel sheath, with steel fins brazed onto it.

Make sure your heater runs on 208V (check the rating plate) and that your model is on the compatible-models list on this page.

Installation Tips

Turn off power to the heater at the breaker or disconnect before opening the unit.

I ordered three (3) as they were inexpensive and . . . my neighbor has the same model! She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare. I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business. I however, had to pay for return shipping.
