About the Marley SWH2020FC
The Marley SWH2020FC is a fan-forced electric wall heater from the SWH Architectural Series, rated 2000/1000 W at 208V. It is intended for comfort heating and is designed to recess into a 2x4 stud wall or larger using a back box, with optional frames for surface or semi-recessed mounting.
A built-in adjustable thermostat cycles the heating element, while a fan delay control keeps the fan running briefly after the element shuts off to clear leftover heat. Safety features include an over-temperature control with a manual reset button, a backup one-shot thermal fuse and a red alarm light that comes on only if the heater has shut down from overheating.
The heater can be converted in the field to half its rated wattage by removing a jumper wire.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the main service panel before wiring. The heater recesses into a 2x4 or larger stud wall using a back box (cutout 9-3/8 x 11-1/8 in.); SWHSM surface, SWHS1 (1-inch) and SWHS2 (2-inch) recess frames are sold separately. Use standard 60°C building wire, and do not run the heater without its grille installed. Not for outdoor, damp or wet locations.

No. The manual says not to use a remote thermostat; it relies on its built-in adjustable thermostat.
Can I lower the wattage?
Yes. Removing the red jumper wire from both heating elements converts it to the lower (half) wattage rating.

My Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser arrived on time, and as described. I had found for a few dollars less on Ebay but had less confidence in the supplier. I ordered three (3) as they were inexpensive and . . . my neighbor has the same model!
She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare.
I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business. I however, had to pay for return shipping.
