About the Marley HOSS4004NV
The HOSS4004NV is a HOSS Series large electric wall heater for recessed installation, built for 240V single-phase power. Its output ranges from 1,800 to 4,000 watts, with a minimum supply of 16.7 amps. Its grille color is Navajo White.
The built-in 7-day programmable thermostat has separate weekday and weekend schedules with four periods each (wake, day, evening and sleep). Other features include a hold mode, a fan-only setting for air circulation, a dry-contact connection for a building management system, a nightlight, adjustable beep volume, Fahrenheit or Celsius display, and remote operation from up to 20 feet.
A manual-reset safety limit shuts the heater down if it overheats and turns on a red warning light; it is reset through the grille.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker before installing or servicing. The heater recesses into 2x4 or deeper stud walls; in new construction the back box fits between studs on 16-inch centers, and in existing walls you need an opening 14-1/2 in wide by 18-1/2 in high.
Keep at least 12 in to the floor, 12 in to an adjacent wall and 36 in to the ceiling. Minimum wire size is 10 AWG; standard 60°C building wire may be used.
