About the Marley PRH21523240000
The Marley PRH21523240000 is a plenum-rated electric unit heater rated 15 kW at 240V, three phase, with two stages of heat. It is approved for concealed spaces such as the area above a drop ceiling or inside a plenum, and it can be connected to ductwork or used with free-air discharge through its removable grilles.
The blower moves about 850 CFM on low speed and 1000 CFM on high, with the speed chosen during thermostat setup. A single power connection feeds both the fan and the heater, and a built-in delay starts the fan shortly after a heat call and keeps it running briefly afterward to clear leftover heat.
Inside the cabinet are steel finned elements, a sealed, permanently lubricated blower motor with thermal protection, a primary limit, contactor, transformer and relays, all reached through a front access door. It works with a 24VAC two-stage thermostat.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker before any installation or service work.
The manufacturer specifies suspending the unit from the building structure with independent supports attached to the frame, keeping the control panel clear. Use copper supply wire sized at 125% of the nameplate amperage and confirm the supply voltage matches the nameplate before energizing. The unit is not approved for corrosive locations such as marine, greenhouse or chemical storage areas.
