About the Marley PRH17543240000
The PRH17543240000 is a 7.5 kW electric fan heater from the Marley PRH plenum heater line, wired for 480V three phase power. It is approved for hidden locations such as plenums and the space between a finished ceiling and a drop ceiling, and it can blow into open air or be connected to ductwork.
The heater runs from a separate 24VAC thermostat; Marley recommends a two-stage model. A fan-on delay starts the blower within 60 seconds of a heat call to avoid a cold draft, and a fan-off delay keeps it running for up to 60 seconds afterward to clear leftover heat. On 480V units the fan runs at high speed only.
A disconnect switch comes standard, power connects at a single point, and a front door opens to all controls. The inlet and outlet grilles come off for ducted use, and perforated flanges let the installer form rectangular duct connections. The fan motor is thermally protected and permanently lubricated, and the heating elements are finned steel.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker before any work. Hang the heater horizontally from the building structure with its own independent support; it can be rotated on its axis but must not be mounted vertically. Zero clearance is allowed, but keep the control panel door accessible. Any ductwork should follow NFPA-90B or the Canadian equivalent. Use copper supply wire sized at 125% of the nameplate amps and confirm the line voltage matches the nameplate. The cabinet has a 7/8" power knockout and a 3/8" thermostat knockout.
