About the Marley I1504
The Marley I1504 is a fan-forced electric heater that drops into an opening in the floor. It is the 240V/208V version of this floor heater and connects with two black supply leads. Its heat spreads roughly 5 feet, and several units can be spaced 5 feet apart along a wall to control drafts.
Safety controls include an automatic-reset over-temperature limit, a one-shot thermal cutout as a backup, and an alarm (buzzer or warning light) that signals an overheating condition. The grille is held by two screws.
The heater has no built-in disconnect, so plan for a double-pole thermostat or a disconnect within sight. A built-in single-pole thermostat (ITSP) is optional, or a wall thermostat can be used.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the main panel before wiring or inserting the heater. Install it in the floor only, with the long side parallel to the wall: the opening is 7-3/8 x 14-1/4 in and at least 6 in from the wall, and the end of the heater needs at least 36 in to a side wall. Keep drapes at least 1 in away. Ground the enclosure, confirm the supply voltage matches the nameplate, and secure the enclosure with four nails. Floor covering between the grille and enclosure flange can be no thicker than 3/4 in. Do not use it in wet or hazardous locations, and do not run it without the grille.
A concrete installation kit (FDI-AC1415) is ordered separately for slab floors.
