About the Marley U1500FA
The U1500FA is a fan-forced electric heater from Marley's U Series, made to mount in the ceiling. It runs on 120V and is rated 1500 watts (5120 BTU/hr). Removing the red jumper from both heating elements reduces output to 750 watts.
It works with a single-pole wall thermostat, sold separately. The thermostat should switch only the heating elements. A fan delay is standard, so the fan keeps running briefly after the element shuts off to let it cool. The heater has an automatic-reset over-temperature limit and a disconnect switch on the heater/fan assembly.
It recesses into a ceiling with 2x4 or larger joists using the supplied back box. An optional frame allows surface mounting, and a separate kit fits T-bar grid ceilings.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker before working. The manual recommends mounting 8 ft from the floor to the bottom of the back box, at least 6 ft up and at least 12 in from adjacent walls. The thermostat must not cycle the fan. The front grille must be installed before the heater runs.

She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare.
I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business. I however, had to pay for return shipping.
