About the InSinkErator HWT-200

The HWT200 is the under-sink tank that heats water for an InSinkErator instant hot water dispenser faucet. It holds about two-thirds of a gallon in a fully welded 316L stainless steel tank and heats it with a 750-watt element on a standard 115-volt circuit. The thermostat can be set anywhere from 120°F up to near boiling. LED lights show when the tank is heating and when it is up to temperature.

Other features include tool-free water connections, dry-start protection, and sound-dampening for quieter operation. It works with InSinkErator dispensers and filtration systems and is NSF 58 certified for use with reverse osmosis systems.

A tank that no longer heats, leaks, or makes much more noise than it used to is usually the reason for replacement. Match your dispenser model against the compatible-models list on this page.

Installation Tips

Unplug the existing tank or turn off its circuit before starting, and let the old tank cool completely before draining and removing it. Mount the new tank and make the tool-free water connections to the dispenser, following the instructions supplied with the tank. Then set the thermostat to the temperature you want.
