About the InSinkErator 13709
The InSinkErator 13709 Lower Bearing supports the bottom end of the rotor shaft in InSinkErator commercial food waste disposer motors. The parts list shows it next to the 13678 pre-load spring and the lower end frame.
Grinding, growling or high-pitched noise from the bottom of the motor can mean the lower bearing is worn. This bearing is not part of the 13080 Bearing Seal Kit, which covers the upper bearing, seals and related hardware. The lower bearing does come already fitted on a new rotor and shaft assembly.
Check your disposer's model number against the compatible models list on this page before ordering.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker and lock it out before you service the motor. You reach the lower bearing by removing the bottom cover and lower end frame. Check the pre-load spring while the unit is open, and replace it if it is weak or damaged.

My Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser arrived on time, and as described. I had found for a few dollars less on Ebay but had less confidence in the supplier. I am happy with my purchase as it was easily installed in about ten minutes as replacement for the old one. Be sure and note that this unit is for the heater ONLY, no additional hardware, hoses, dispenser, etc. It was what I needed; be sure that is all you need.

I ordered three (3) as they were inexpensive and . . . my neighbor has the same model!
She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare.
I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business. I however, had to pay for return shipping.
