This genuine Marley Engineered Products high limit is a safety control used in Marley, Qmark and Berko electric heating equipment. It is set to open at a fixed 300°F.
When that temperature is reached, the switch breaks the circuit and keeps the heating element off until it is reset by hand. Because it is a manual-reset control, the heater will not restart on its own after a trip.
