About the Marley R2404T2A
The R2404T2A is a recessed fan-forced electric wall heater from Marley's RT2 series, which have a thermostat built into the heater. It is rated 2400 watts at 240V and 1800 watts at 208V.
It ships at full output. Clipping jumpers on the Clip 'n' Fit circuit board steps it down to 1800, 1200 or 600 watts at 240V (1350, 900 or 450 watts at 208V). An automatic-reset limit control shuts the heater off if it overheats, and a red light stays on until it resets.
The unit installs in a back box in a 2x4 or larger stud wall and must sit horizontally, with the motor and thermostat on the right.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker before working. Mount horizontally with the motor and thermostat on the right. The manual calls for clearances of 4 in from the floor, 6 in from an adjacent wall and 36 in from the ceiling, with power entering through the right-end knockouts only. Use building wire rated at least 60°C.
