About the Marley FFC2048
The FFC2048 is a compact fan-forced wall heater from the FFC Series. It is rated 2000 watts on a 240-volt supply or 1500 watts on 208 volts, and works well for supplemental heat in bathrooms, bedrooms, hallways, basements and remodels, in homes or commercial spaces.
A patented CLIP-N-FIT feature lets the installer drop the heater to half wattage by clipping a jumper wire on the heating element. This change is permanent and cannot be reversed to raise the output later.
The heater and fan assembly fastens to the back box with a single screw, and removing one screw from the fan panel gives service access to the impeller and element without disturbing the wiring. A multi-layer impeller keeps operation quiet, and protection comes from a self-holding high limit plus a one-time thermal fuse.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker before installing. Keep the back box at least 4.5 inches from the floor and adjacent walls and 12 inches from the ceiling, and leave 5 feet clear in front of the heater. Do not mount it behind a door or towel rack, in a closet, in the floor, or anywhere airflow could be blocked. The heater can be retrofitted into an existing 7-7/8 x 11-1/2 x 4 inch back box.

Can I lower the wattage after installation?
Yes. The installer can set it to half wattage by clipping the CLIP-N-FIT jumper wire on the heating element. The change is permanent, so the output cannot be raised back up afterward.
