About the Marley CZ1048T

The CZ1048T is a compact fan-forced electric wall heater suited to tight spaces in new homes and commercial buildings, in rooms such as bedrooms, kitchens, basements, offices and waiting rooms. It carries dual wattage ratings: 1000W / 500W at 240V, or 750W / 375W at 208V.

It is set up for a double-pole built-in thermostat with a positive off position (listed as the CZTDP accessory kit, 45°F to 135°F) or for a remote wall-mounted thermostat. Protection comes from a self-holding limit switch backed by a one-time thermal fuse. A multi-layer impeller moves about 65 CFM quietly, and the wattage can be changed during installation using the clip-in wattage selector instead of moving a jumper wire.

The heater and fan assembly fits into a wall back box and is held by a single screw, for quick installation and service. It comes in white.

Installation Tips

Turn off power at the breaker before installing or servicing. The heater assembly drops into the wall back box and is secured with a single screw.

I ordered three (3) as they were inexpensive and . . . my neighbor has the same model! She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare. I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business. I however, had to pay for return shipping.
