About the Marley PLF754DA
The PLF754DA is a 3-foot hydronic electric baseboard heater that runs on 240V or 208V circuits, with lower output at 208V. Instead of a bare element, it uses an electric element partly immersed in a sealed, inert heat-transfer fluid inside a 7/8" copper tube that runs the full length of the cabinet. This design gives even warmth and retains heat longer.
Large aluminum fins deliver a steady convection flow of warm air, and heavy steel louvered grilles direct the warm air outward. Surface temperatures stay low, and a safety cutout shuts the heater down if it overheats.
The cabinet mounts flush to the wall and can sit flat over wood, tile or carpet. Power can be connected at either end, using the built-in wireway and roomy wiring compartment. A wall-mounted thermostat is recommended for control; an optional double-pole thermostat (PT2DS) attaches to the end cap. Ratings shown are the manufacturer's published figures for the base PLF754. The manufacturer's spec sheet does not describe the DA suffix, so please contact us to confirm before ordering.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the breaker before wiring. Wiring can be brought in at either end of the heater; the knockouts are 7/8" for 1/2" conduit. Pre-notched guide marks on the back of the cabinet help with wall mounting.

Does this heater include a thermostat?
A wall-mounted thermostat is recommended. The manufacturer also offers the PT2DS double-pole thermostat, sold separately, which comes assembled to an end cap for the heater.
Can it run on 208V?
Yes. It is rated for 240V or 208V; at 208V the output drops to 563W.

I ordered three (3) as they were inexpensive and . . . my neighbor has the same model!
She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare.
I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business. I however, had to pay for return shipping.
