About the Marley J1258B
The Marley J1258B is a wall-mounted electric convection heater from the J Series (Model B) institutional line. It is rated 1250 watts on a 208-volt single-phase supply and draws about 6.0 amps. Heat comes from a finned element behind a perforated front cover.
The front cover is fastened with tamper-proof screws, and the top access cover and disconnect-switch cover are also secured with tamper-proof screws. A thermostat and disconnect switch are built in. The baked enamel finish is meant to suit most interiors.
It mounts on a vertical wall with its length running horizontally and must sit at least 6 inches above the floor. It is not approved for hazardous or corrosive locations, or for any area that stores or uses gasoline, paint or other flammable liquids.
Installation Tips
Turn off power at the main panel before installing or wiring. Mount the rear panel to a vertical wall using anchors you supply through the 11/32 in. holes, with the heater at least 6 in. above the floor and not in a recess. Bring the supply wiring in through the 1-3/32 in. hole in the rear panel, using conductors sized to code with insulation rated at least 75°C, and connect the ground to the green pigtail lead. Hook the perforated cover over the top edge of the rear panel and fasten its bottom lip with the 1/4-20 x 1 in. tamper-proof screws; discard the standard cover screws it ships with. Confirm the supply voltage matches the nameplate before turning power on.

She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare.
I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business. I however, had to pay for return shipping.
