About the InSinkErator 44678
The F-1000 is InSinkErator's standard replacement cartridge, sold one per pack. It cuts particulates and the taste and odor of chlorine in the water that reaches your dispenser. NSF International has tested and certified it to NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for those claims.
The cartridge is rated for about 500 gallons. InSinkErator suggests replacing it every six months, or earlier if you notice the flow slowing down. It is meant for cold incoming water only.
The cartridge works only with InSinkErator filtration systems. Check that your system appears in the compatible-models list on this page before ordering.
