About the InSinkErator 45221-ISE
The F-601R replacement filter was discontinued in August 2017. This InSinkErator kit converts an F-601R filter system so it can use the F-2000S system instead, including a new filter head bracket and a detailed conversion manual.
The kit contains a filter head bracket, an F-2000 replacement filter, two polyethylene tubes, a quick-connect fitting, two mounting screws and 1/4 in. compression fittings. The bracket accepts only F-1000 and F-2000 replacement filters.
The system is certified to NSF Standard 42, and the F-2000 uses a twist-and-lock cartridge that shuts off water automatically during a change. InSinkErator recommends replacing the filter every 6 months. The kit is intended only for InSinkErator water dispensers.
Installation Tips
Connect the filter system to the cold water supply line only. Shut off the water supply before starting, and follow the conversion manual included with the kit.
