About the InSinkErator 11378D

The 11378D mounting adaptor lets an InSinkErator commercial food waste disposer attach to a 6 inch sink opening with a 7-1/2 inch outside flange and a six-bolt pattern on a 6-7/8 inch bolt circle. InSinkErator's selection guide lists this as the connection normally used by American Delphi and Atomic disposers.

The adaptor bolts on using the existing bolt holes in the sink flange. Per InSinkErator's installation sheet, the kit includes the mounting flange, mounting and flat gaskets, a support ring, a spacer sleeve, and the screws, washers and nuts.

Turn off power to the disposer at the breaker before starting. InSinkErator's guide says to discard the previous adaptor parts and use the existing bolt holes in the sink flange.

My Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser arrived on time, and as described. I had found for a few dollars less on Ebay but had less confidence in the supplier. I am happy with my purchase as it was easily installed in about ten minutes as replacement for the old one. Be sure and note that this unit is for the heater ONLY, no additional hardware, hoses, dispenser, etc. It was what I needed; be sure that is all you need.

I ordered three (3) as they were inexpensive and . . . my neighbor has the same model! She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare. I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business.
