About the Marley D2024

The Marley D2024 is a D Series fan-forced electric wall heater rated 2000W at 240V (1500W at 208V). When the heater runs, a fan moves warm air out through the discharge grille.

The heater recesses into the wall using the D-BB back box, or it can be surface mounted with the DSMK surface mount frame. It has a built-in thermostat with a tamper-resistant plug button, and an automatic-reset limit control shuts the heater off if it overheats, with an indicator light to show it has tripped.

This model is meant for wall installation only; the manufacturer limits ceiling installs to units rated 1000 watts or less.

Installation Tips

Turn off power at the breaker before installing or servicing. The back box needs a 9-1/8" wide by 12-5/8" high opening. On a wall, keep the heater at least 4.5" from the floor and adjacent surfaces and 12" from the ceiling. Do not install this model in a ceiling.

I ordered three (3) as they were inexpensive and . . . my neighbor has the same model! She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare. I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business. I however, had to pay for return shipping.
