About the InSinkErator 13119B

This is a clamping band for the InSinkErator 11378A mounting adaptor, part of the hardware that connects an InSinkErator commercial disposer to a sink or bowl without a flange.

InSinkErator lists the 11378A as a no-flange mount for a 6-inch sink opening. That kit uses a 6-1/4 inch rubber connection sleeve held in place by clamping bands, and InSinkErator notes that support legs are required with this type of mount.

My Insinkerator instant hot water dispenser arrived on time, and as described. I had found for a few dollars less on Ebay but had less confidence in the supplier. Be sure and note that this unit is for the heater ONLY, no additional hardware, hoses, dispenser, etc. It was what I needed; be sure that is all you need.

I ordered three (3) as they were inexpensive and . . . my neighbor has the same model! She was thrilled, and put a new blade on her X-acto knife (a furniture maker) and carefully removed the baffle, as I did, then dropped the replacement in. Cheers all around! So, No. 3 is the neighborhood spare. I used a Magill forceps (I’m a medical writer and interviewer) in the past to remove foreign objects that fell in, while the neighbor always had a pair of long needle nose pliers handy. We both agreed that it was “about time” we had a removable/replaceable baffle. (Yes, yes, we always always unplugged the unit, even flipped the breaker, before diving in.)

I was slightly disappointed when I ordered the right part for my discontinued Craftsman shop vac. I ordered a replacement blower wheel that actually fits a Rigid. The problem was the one sent was only a 1/4" between the impeller and my original wheel was 3/8". Good news is the Representative found the correct wheel. Back in business.
