The locking tab keeps the vacuum hose connected to the wet dry vac during use, but can be detached easily. 1-7/8-inch diameter is designed for a great blend of maneuverability and airflow. This wet dry vac hose works with 1-7/8-inch and 2-1/2-inch shop vacuum accessories, and fits most shop vacuums with the standard 2-1/2-inch inlet port opening including most WORKSHOP Wet/ Dry Vacs.
